Name your three favorite movies:
CASINO (classic gangster movie), GRANDMA'S BOY (when I want to laugh at something silly with the wife), THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING (first VFX movie I ever worked on and thought it was a great way to round out the trilogy).
What inspired you to becoming involved in making movies?
Since I was a kid, I always enjoyed toying around with video cameras and making stop motion movies with potato characters :) Eventually that progressed into making a snowboarding movie following some of New Zealand’s best riders for a winter. After that, I was lucky enough to have a good buddy of mine working at Weta and he helped me get in on the ground floor for my first gig as a roto artist on LOTR. From then on, I was hooked on VFX!!!
